Creativity and the Dharma—Offerings from Our Community

Teacher: Susan Stone

Following a guided meditation, Susan Stone will facilitate another evening focusing on creativity and the Dharma (teaching). Wild and beyond the control of ego, the creative urge can create a sense of elation. In this, it offers deep teaching, for the Buddha’s Dharma points to letting go, dis-identifying with the sense of self, which is bent on controlling. Tonight, two members of our community, Will Kerner and Barbara Martin, will share selections from their creative work. Will intends to share photos taken while on international assignment in Ladakh. Barbara will share her music. Each will discuss how the Dharma influences their creative process. Their offerings and comments may trigger the insight that creativity isn’t limited to the arts. Dharma practice is itself a creative process that expresses in all aspects of one’s life. An evening for all, whether you are new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner.
