Healing Separation

LeadersSharon Beckman-Brindley, Allie Rudolph, Bev Wann, and Laura DeVault

For the past year, with teacher Ruth King's guidance and support, many of us in IMCC leadership have met together in "White Awake" groups to explore together how we, as white people in a racially diverse world, can help to heal our own and others' sense of separation and discord. In this evening's gathering, we'll share with the community some of our inquiries and discoveries and invite ourselves and one another to continue to deepen our work toward the healing racism and separation of all kinds.

IMCC meets every Tuesday evening for a period of guided meditation and a talk by one of IMCC's experienced meditation teachers.  The program is designed to be friendly and of interest to people with no meditation experience as well as more advanced practitioners.

IMCC is a nonprofit organization established in 1996. Its primary mission is to promote the instruction and practice of Buddhist Insight Meditation and related teachings that awaken an individual’s natural wisdom and compassion. IMCC is located in Charlottesville, Virginia.
