Awakened Heart:

Cultivating Wise and Compassionate Action

in a Suffering World

An Insight Dialogue Meditation Retreat

Our spiritual practice calls us to cultivate freedom from suffering, both internally in our own minds and hearts, and externally in our speech and action in the world. We are invited to respond to all beings and all circumstances with deep wisdom, unconditional love and universal compassion.  How do we do this in these enormously challenging times?

In this Daylong retreat, we will practice silent meditation and, together, the contemplations of Insight Dialogue in which we will explore our moment-to-moment experience while meditating in dialogue with others. We will together investigate the mind's constructing nature and its great potential for awareness and for healing for ourselves and in our actions in the world.

Because Insight Dialogue builds on our established meditation practice, prior experience of at least a daylong or weekend insight meditation retreat is requested. If you would like guidance about the suitability of this retreat for you, please contact Sharon, sharon@metta.org.  Additional information about Insight Dialogue may be found at www.metta.org.

Registration fee, sliding scale: $25 - $50

Full scholarships available.
