Sharon Salzberg: The History of Meditation in America

The UVa Contemplative Sciences Center is hosting Sharon Salzberg on March 20, 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Sharon will present: "Personal Reflections on the Recent HIstory of Meditation in America."

 Salzberg, one of the leading teachers of meditation, will discuss the recent proliferation of meditation in the United States alongside UVA Professors Erik Braun and David Germano. This promises to be a stimulating review of the rise of mindfulness, insight, compassion, and other contemplative practices.

Free and open to the public. Registration is recommended. This event is presented by the CSC with support from the Mind & Life Institute.
