IMCC will offer a six-week Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation class open to anyone who is new to meditation or who would like to establish a regular practice of mindfulness and Insight Meditation.
The class will cover introductions to mindfulness of the breath, the body, emotions, and thoughts. There will be instruction, guided practice together, and time for discussion and addressing participants questions. Regular home meditation practice is an integral part of the course.
The course will be taught by Marylouise Kelley.
Cost: $95. This includes a copy of Gil Fronsdal's book The Issue at Hand. No one will be turned away due to insufficient funds. A sliding scale is available. To make financial arrangements, email Judy Harmon.
Schedule: Monday evenings, February 24-March 30. The first class will be
7-9 pm, and the remainder, 7-8:30 pm.
