The Evolution of Mindfulness Practice
Teacher: Susan Stone
Mindfulness practice enables us to live more fully, with greater clarity and love. However, as we mature in spiritual practice, we sense incompletion, a yearning for deeper connection, an abiding-ness that our heart tells us is true. In response, mindfulness practice can evolve and turn inward, from attention to a chosen object like breath or body sensations, to an inquiry into objectless awareness. In a talk, Susan will discuss this evolution, explain why it is natural, and illustrate with an example. There will be opportunity for questions and group discussion, followed by a break and a guided meditation.
