The Mother of All Delusions

Winding up our series on the three “poisons,” this talk focuses on delusion, specifically on the mother of all delusions, the sense of a separate self. The Buddha and wise seers from many traditions have affirmed there is no self in the way we conventionally believe. This affirmation has perplexed people across the ages. Without aspiring to clear up the perplexity, Susan’s talk will present neurological roots of our belief in a separate self and explore the heart’s knowing beyond.
