Standing in the Fire, Moving on with Love
Teacher: Susan Stone
We are standing in the fire of recent and ongoing events. In the context of the Covid pandemic with its rippling effects and the political malfeasance that increasingly polarizes the nation, the recent violence against black people highlights, once again, the racism endemic in this country. Underpinning the devastation wrought by racism is the systematic withholding of love from a part of the American population. While we hope for institutional change, we each are in a position to deepen our commitment to our contemplative practice and thereby make possible the change in consciousness and greater opening to love that are needed for societal as well as personal transformation. IMCC, which is committed to bridging separation in all its forms, supports members in their personal practice, including offering opportunities to awaken to one’s own unseen bias and other activities. Susan will discuss how these activities are a powerful part of the spiritual path.
