Struggling with the Buddha
with Susan Stone
When Westerners, regardless of race or religion of origin, come to Buddhist practice, we struggle. We have questions and doubts; we experience stress. Following a guided meditation, Susan offers a talk titled, “Struggling with the Buddha.” The talk, which includes autobiographical comments, explores why such struggle is a natural expression of our evolution toward awakening. It also explores how practicing in community is an integral part of the journey. An evening for all, regardless of your length of experience with meditation or Buddhist practices.
