Practice is Your Refuge and North Star for Appropriate Response

It is finally here. The election has arrived! It comes wrapped in an accelerating pandemic, economic collapse, racial unrest, severe environmental stress and a compromised, if not collapsing, democracy. You might say that our national plate is quite full.
Tonight, we will explore the stabilizing power of your contemplative practice. How leaning into your practice in times of duress can support calm clear seeing which can inform your appropriate skillful response. We will practice several simple calming techniques along with our regular insight practice.
Buddhism emphases reflecting on cause and effect in all aspects of living. In that vein, we’ll take a few minutes tonight and explore a some of the causes that have brought us to this moment in history.
The session is appropriate for beginning meditators as well as seasoned practitioners as full instructions will be offered.
