As we said in our last mail, we are happy to be entering our fourth year of Charlottesville Families Sitting Together. We continue to hope that the worst of COVID is well behind us, so that we can renew our efforts to build this community of mindful and Buddhist-oriented parenting. . .
Our next meeting is this coming Saturday, at 2:30 pm, at Mark and Paz's house, where we will continue our introduction to the Four Noble Truths, and do some mindful gardening outside. Next month we will meet on Saturday, May 21st, 2 pm, place TBD, and we are planning on a June 11th, 3:30 pm family outing, in collaboration with Liz Reynolds from the Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville, at Wildrock Nature Play and Discovery Center in Crozet.
We will be including various activities/resources such as a book or video, brainstorming with charts, and role play to help kids grasp the essence. There should be time for kids to play, parents to get together and talk, and snacks. For anyone who has not been to Linda's please RSVP and we will send the address.
