In the Buddha’s quintessential teaching, the Four Noble Truths, he described an Eightfold Path which offers practical instructions that can lead to the end of suffering. This talk will explore how the eight path factors work together to promote wisdom, ethical conduct, and concentration. We will reflect on how applying the Eightfold Path in our daily lives can help us to end ignorance and craving and engage the Buddha’s Path as a “Whole-life” path.
This talk introduces a series of talks on the Eightfold Path. On eight Tuesday night gatherings between now and the beginning of March, we will explore each of the eight factors in the Path and how we can practice with them to bring these teachings to life. The teachers for this series will be Liz Reynolds, Teresa Miller, Anna Vanhoy and Marylouise Kelley.
