“Training is about putting a micro-pause…between the perception and the reaction, or, between the mental reaction and any engagement with it.” Ajahn Sucitto
In ordinary human life, much of our internal and external action tends to be guided unconsciously by clinging as the mind attempts to gain MORE of the pleasant (greed), to AVOID or CHANGE the unpleasant (ill will), and to get/maintain a sense of CONTROL over things/life/oneself (delusion). The Buddha’s teachings invite us to meditate as a way to cultivate a kind clear seeing and wise action which is in tune with the deeper truths of each present moment.
In this offering, we explore music as a way to enjoy deepening our capacity to tune into the direct felt sense of experience and to release our clinging to the concepts that the mind continually wants to impose.
