Land Blessing Ritual at Serenity Ridge Retreat Center

We have a beautiful day planned at Serenity Ridge. We will meet at 9:45 AM in front of the gompa (red, barn-style building in the center of our campus). We will walk together down the new trail to the stream, where Khenpo-la will offer a land blessing. After the blessing ceremony we will have opportunities for visiting and socializing, light service work (think gardening and trail clean-up), we will have a potluck lunch around 12:30 pm, and we are working to have the swimming pool open. The event is weather dependent, and does not require registration. These activities of the day are free and open to everyone. Please bring a vegetarian meal to share.

Khenpo-la is the abbott of the dialectic school at Menri Monastery, and this is his second time teaching at Serenity Ridge. He has great knowledge, a big smile, and speaks excellent English.
