We go through much of life living out of habit.  Coasting along on autopilot, we are unaware of the underlying identifications and habits of mind that shape our perceptions which then create the very lives we lead.  Unacknowledged, these habits can lead to subtle and not so subtle wars – both internal with ourselves, and external with others. Our meditation practice invites us to discover these habits of mind and to see the choices we have for more ease in our relationships and for unlimited freedom.

Join us for a daylong Insight Dialogue retreat. In this retreat, we will practice silent meditation and, together, the contemplations of Insight Dialogue in which we will explore our moment-to-moment experience while meditating in dialogue with others.  This practice allows us to perceive and understand things that are normally overlooked in the busyness of life. Meditating together, we discover and investigate the mind's constructing nature and its great potential for awareness and for freedom.  As we come to know and to release the habit mind, we find there is nowhere to be but here. There is nothing to fix and no self-improvement project is necessary.

Prior meditation experience is requested. If you would like guidance about the suitability of this retreat for you, please contact Sharon, sharonbb@ntelos.net, or Phyllis, phyllishicks@mindspring.com

Additional information about Insight Dialogue may be found at www.metta.org.

The registration fee is $20 to cover rental costs and payable on line.  Scholarships are available.

Dana will be accepted at the retreat for the teachers.

Please pre-register online.
