Self-compassion - Resting in Your Suffering
When
04 Feb 2014
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location
JABA
You could search the whole world over and not find anyone more deserving of your love and compassion than your self. (the Buddha)
"Love your suffering. Do not resist it, do not flee from it. It is your aversion that hurts, nothing else." (Herman Hesse)
We are prone to deny or reject all the small moments in which we meet the painful and the difficult within our own lives.
Can we turn toward, even rest in, our own suffering?
How can we use these moments as the training ground for boundless compassion?
All are welcome this evening for meditation and the talk.
