IMCC Hikes the Rose River Trail

  • 19 Oct 2014
  • Meeting time and place TBA
IMCC member Helene Freiman leads the first of our fall hikes. The Rose River Loop is one of Shenandoah National Park’s most beautiful hikes for streams and waterfalls. Over the course of four miles, you’ll hike along the Rose River, the Hog Camp Branch, and finally up the Rose River fire road. If the group is interested, a hike to Dark Hallow Falls can be added on. A moderate hike with some rocky stretches. The trailhead begins on the opposite side of the road from the Fishers Gap Overlook off of Skyline Drive 49.4 mile marker.

Wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes, and bring a snack and water.

This activity is limited to eight participants. To sign up, please email Helene at helenefreiman@gmail.com. Helene will let you know the time and meeting place.

Note: You must print out and sign a liability waiver. Helene will collect waivers before you set out.
