How Can Our Practice Help Us Love The Donald, Hillary, Ted, Rush, Bernie and Sarah etc.

with Pat Coffey

The airwaves are filled with political banter.  You hear all kinds of dramatic comments..."I'm moving to Canada if so and so gets elected", "How can those people support that person, their economic policy will ruin us all"...etc. etc.

Important decisions are ahead for all of us.  The Buddha warned his students about 'the tangle of views'.  What did he mean by this?

How can we use our practice to work with the feelings of polarization that are so prevalent? What practices are there that might aid us being compassionate and discerning citizens?  How can you bridge the separation you might feel between you and Donald or Bernie or Hillary or Marco or Ted or Sarah or Rush etc?

Tonight Pat will offer a Buddhist perspective and some down to earth practices that will help us bridge the divide and heal our hearts.

Each Tuesday evening IMCC teachers offer a guided meditation period followed by a talk and discussion.  The evening is suitable for newcomers to mediation as well as seasoned practitioners.
