Appreciative Joy, or mudita in the Pali, is the third of the Four Brahma Viharas, also known as the Four Radiant Abodes.  As the antidote to jealousy and envy, Appreciative Joy appears to be the least discussed and perhaps the most difficult to cultivate.  But as it carries the image of the sun, arising as sacred presence, it is a deeply integral part of the path.

IMCC meets every Tuesday evening for a period of guided meditation and a talk by one of IMCC's experienced meditation teachers.  The program is designed to be friendly and of interest to people with no meditation experience as well as more advanced practitioners.

This week's teacher: Charmi Neely
