Join us on April 2 as we celebrate Spring and celebrate each other. We'll be doing something good for the environment: planting trees at McIntire Park. Following tree planting will be a potluck lunch. This will also be a celebration for IMCC member, Stanley Sobattka who has contributed his efforts to IMCC in many ways over the years and is moving to California at the end of April. Come for one or both events.
Place: McIntire Park, Shelter #3. (As you drive into the park, Shelter #3 is the first shelter on the left, before the softball filed, down a hill. Please park in the parking lot on the right.)
Time: 10 to noon for tree planting; noon to 2 for the lunch celebration
No charge.
Bring: a dish for lunch, gloves and work clothes. (Tools will be provided by the C’ville Dept. of Parks & Recreation, but if you have a trowel or shovel you like, you're welcome to bring your own.)
Please register on IMCC website. In case of rain, the lunch will be held at an alternate indoor location. Notification will be posted on IMCC website by 9 am on April 2 and email notification with driving directions will be sent to all registrants.
