In response to the tragic shooting in our community on Sunday evening and in acknowledgement of the many shooting events around Charlottesville in the past several months, this Tuesday evening IMCC will gather in hopes of sharing our grief, fear and uncertainty together and to explore holding these events in community. IMCC acknowledges that we are but a small subset of the larger Charlottesville community, and that many of us were and are related to these instances of violence in a myriad of ways. How do we begin to hold these events individually and collectively in ways that can offer grounding and compassion to ourselves and to those in our larger circles and communities?
Our evening together will begin with a guided meditation, and will also allow for time for processing these events in community. We'll close with an opportunity for chanting the loving-kindness meditation together. Please join us in community either in-person or virtually.
