In our ordinary lives, interpersonal intimacy requires that we share similar views and experiences. Those who are not similar become "different" and/or "separate." Our meditation practice, however, moves us beyond separation. It teaches us to rest together in awareness of a larger and more wholesome intimacy. It does not require us to be the externally the same and it helps us to experience the grace of unconstructed intimacy: our shared humanness and interconnection.

In this retreat, we will practice silent mindfulness meditation and, together, the contemplations of Insight Dialogue which is an interpersonal meditation form, based in Vipassana.  Insight Dialogue expands solitary meditation by extending the mindfulness, wisdom, and compassion of silent practice into speaking and listening in contemplation with others. Prior meditation experience is required. If you would like guidance about the suitability of this retreat for you, please contact Sharon,sharonbb@ntelos.net, or Allie, locusthollow@gmail.com

The registration fee is $20 to cover rental costs and payable on line.  Dana will be accepted for the teacher.
Scholarships are available.

Please bring a meditation cushion and a bag lunch.
