In our ordinary lives, interpersonal intimacy requires that we share similar views and experiences. Those who are not similar become "different" and/or "separate." Our meditation practice, however, moves us beyond separation. It teaches us to remember and rest together in awareness of a larger and more wholesome intimacy that does not require us to be "the same." It helps us to experience the grace of unconstructed intimacy: our shared humanness and interconnection.
