Please join us for a special evening with Phillip Moffitt, founder of the Life Balance Institute and author of Emotional Chaos to Clarity. Moffitt’s meditation and dharma talk will explore how Buddhist teachings and practices can help you develop life skills that profoundly improve your ability to respond to life’s challenges.
“By cultivating a responsive mind rather than a reactive one,” Moffitt says, “we can achieve a state of emotional clarity that allows us to live skillfully and act with wisdom even in the face of obstacles or unhappiness.”
At the peak of his career as CEO and editor-in-chief of Esquire magazine, Phillip Moffitt left the corporate world to explore his inner life. Through the nonprofit Life Balance Institute, he provides training for individuals and executives in living a more satisfying, values-based life.
This event takes place on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. at JABA, 674 Hillsdale Dr., Charlottesville, VA. Seating is limited to 200 people, so please arrive early. An offering of dana for admission is encouraged.
