Guided Meditation and Dharma Talk with Anna Vanhoy and Laura DeVault

Tuesday, July 16th, 2024, 7 – 8:30 PM

We are meeting in person at 717 Rugby Rd in the Unitarian Universalist sanctuary and on Zoom.

Clinging to the Story of Life

"Things, if clung to, are suffering, or are a source of suffering.” -Buddha

The First Noble Truth teaches that suffering exists in life and that this suffering is due to clinging to things, ideas, and habits.  We practice noticing when we are clinging within our lives, but are we aware of the experience of clinging to the story of life itself? Do we have a clear sense of what our story of “life” is?

We will spend time considering these questions together, this time looking into what all of our “stories of life” are.  This is the second in a series of four talks contemplating clinging to the story of life. (No need to have attended the previous talk.)
