The Kosambi Intrigue--reading and discussion
When
13 Nov 2012
7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location
JABA 674 Hillsdale Drive, Cville 22901
Our Tuesday evening meeting will begin with a guided meditation, followed by a reading and discussion led by Susan Stone of her new novel,
The Kosambi Intrigue; A Tale in the Time of the Buddha.
A first of its kind since Hermann Hesse's
Siddhartha,
the story is based on actual events in the Buddha's era, portraying historical characters as well as creating fictional ones. Easy to read and listen to, the tale focuses on a 17-year old orphan, Sati, who becomes a monk in the Buddha's young order and soon is over his head in an intrigue that engulfs the entire town of Kosambi. An evening for all, whether you're new to meditation or experienced.
