Holly has taught meditation since 1995. Insight meditation informs her life, personally and professionally: as a Mentor/Coach; within her private practice as a Psychologist; as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at JMU and, as an Organizational Consultant providing Wellness/Meditation and Productivity trainings within organizations. She is Teacher within the Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville, Va. (IMCC)
For Holly, meditation provides a deep respect for the benefits of practice not only on the cushion, but also off the cushion, as translated to our everyday life -- within ourselves, with our intimate others; at the work place; or with nature.
This silent retreat will include a variety of guided and silent meditations, talks, walking meditation, and a period for sharing and questions. Suitable for both new and experienced meditators.
Wear comfortable clothes with layers so you may adapt to changing airflow etc. Healthy snacks and tea as well as cushions and chairs will be provided. If you have your own cushion, please being it just in case. Please arrive by 8:45am so we may start on time.
