Returns to Lead Tuesday Evening Meditation
and Dharma Talk June 17

IMCC is pleased to welcome back Ven. Dr. Pannavati, a Buddhist monk known for her work with homeless youth in Appalachia and her ministry to the "untouchables" in India. She will serve as guest teacher for our June 17 Tuesday evening session and then offer a daylong retreat Saturday, June 21.

Venerable is co-founder and co-Abbot of Embracing-Simplicity Hermitage in Hendersonville, N.C. A black female Buddhist monk ordained in the Theravada and Mahayana traditions. Venerable is both contemplative and empowered for compassionate service. A former Christian pastor, she is known for and known for her work with homeless youth in Appalachia and her ministry to the "untouchables" in India.

Venerable was a guest teacher at IMCC in June 2013. This year, in addition to guest-teaching on Tuesday, she is offering June 21 daylong retreat. (Register for the daylong retreat here.)

As always, there is no charge to attend an IMCC Tuesday evening session. Dana (a donation) is always welcome to cover room rental and other expenses.

This evening is suitable for newcomers and experienced meditators alike; chairs are provided; bring a cushion or mat if you prefer.
